Ben Forta is coming to Nashville

So, Aaron told me about some exciting news from Adobe today. On May 9th, Ben Forta, ColdFusion Evangelist at Adobe and tech author extraordinaire, will be giving a special pre-release peak into Adobe's upcoming release of the newest version of ColdFusion, codenamed 'Scorpio'.

This is huge for the Nashville ColdFusion User Group, but we are going to put out the invite to every user group in and around Tennessee. And I mean every. Why? Because I think that, if we can get some people to come look at ColdFusion, even if they've never used it or barely heard of it, then Scorpio is truly gonna rock their socks off.

Most, within the CF community, already know about the things brought out at CFUnited and MAX last year, like the cfimage tag, pdf form manipulation, and the ability to call .NET components (even from a remote server). But who knows what Ben will be showing us come May, as the release quickly approaches. And, to top it all off, Ben is bringing a copy of Scorpio to give away (when it's released, of course), and tons of cool Adobe swag.

So, if you're in or around the state of Tennessee, and you're ready for the next generation web application wave, then mark your calendar for May the 9th to be in Nashville. Exact time and location are still to be announced, but for more information check the Nashville CF User Group site often
